Managing Your Team
Work together with your team in TAB. Everyone on the team can see the same agents, customers, and settings.
Team management is accessed through the Workspace tab in Settings. Click Settings in the sidebar, then select the Workspace tab.
How team access works
When someone is part of your workspace:
- They can see all your agents
- They can view all customers and conversations
- They can add and edit training content
- They share the same credit pool
Everything is shared. There's no way to hide certain agents or customers from team members.
Team roles
Owner
The owner has full control:
- Access everything
- Manage billing and subscription
- Add and remove team members
- Delete the workspace
Every workspace has exactly one owner.
Member
Members can do day-to-day work:
- Create and manage agents
- Add training content
- View and export customer data
- Set up integrations
Members cannot:
- Change billing or subscription
- Add or remove other members
- Delete the workspace
Adding team members
You can invite teammates to your workspace in three ways: by email, with a join code, or with an invite link. All three are available to the workspace owner (and to TAB admins).
Invite by email
- Go to Settings > Workspace
- Click Invite Member
- Enter their email address
- Choose a role (Owner or Member)
- Click Send Invitation
They'll get an email with a link to join your workspace.
Invite with a join code
Generate an 8-digit join code and share it with a teammate. They join from Workspace > Join by entering the code — handy when email invites are inconvenient.
Each code works for one person, once, and stops working after it expires. Generate a fresh code for each teammate — don't save one and reuse it later.
Invite with a link
You can also generate a shareable invite link instead of a code. It works the same way — single-use and time-limited — but your teammate just clicks it rather than typing digits.
Invitations you've sent by email but that haven't been accepted yet show as pending in the team list until the person joins.
Removing team members
If someone should no longer have access:
- Go to Settings > Workspace
- Find the person in the team list
- Click the menu icon next to their name
- Select Remove from Workspace
- Confirm
They lose access immediately. Any agents they created stay in the workspace.
When to remove someone
Remove team members when they:
- Leave your company
- Change to a different team
- No longer need access
Don't wait - remove access as soon as someone no longer needs it.
Transferring ownership
Ownership moves by promoting an existing team member to Owner. Only the current owner can do this.
- Make sure the new owner is already a team member
- Go to Settings > Workspace
- Find them in the team list and open the menu next to their name
- Change their role to Owner
- Confirm — this action can't be undone from your side
After transfer:
- They become the owner
- You become a member
- They get billing responsibility
Tips for teams
Communicate about changes Before making big changes to agents, let your team know. Coordinate who's working on what.
Use clear naming Name agents clearly so everyone knows what each one is for. "Support Bot EN" is better than "Bot 1."
Review access regularly Every few months, check who has access. Remove anyone who doesn't need it anymore.
Document your setup Keep notes (outside TAB) about how your agents are configured and why. This helps when team members change.
Common questions
Can different team members have different permissions?
Currently, there are two roles: Owner and Member. More granular permissions may come in the future.
Can I restrict access to certain agents?
No. Everyone in a workspace can see everything. If you need separation, use different workspaces.
What happens to agents when someone leaves?
Agents stay in the workspace. They don't belong to individuals - they belong to the workspace.
Can I be in multiple workspaces?
Yes. You can be a member of multiple workspaces and switch between them.
