Notification Preferences
Choose how you want to be notified about account activity. You can control each type of notification independently, and decide whether it reaches you in-app, by email, or both.
Each notification type has its own In-App and Email toggle.
Finding notification settings
Click Settings in the sidebar, then select the Notifications tab.
How it works
Notifications are grouped into topics. For each topic you'll see two switches:
- In-App — shows the notification inside TAB (the bell icon)
- Email — sends the notification to your account email
Toggle either switch to turn that channel on or off for that topic. Changes save automatically — you'll see a short confirmation each time.
Topics that affect your account's health or access always show in-app and can't be disabled — their In-App switch appears locked. You can still control whether they reach you by email. Only Escalation and Agent Alerts can be turned off in-app.
Notification topics
| Topic | What it covers | In-App |
|---|---|---|
| Usage Alerts | When you reach usage thresholds — 80%, 90%, and 100% of your plan's limits | Always on |
| Billing Events | Payment confirmations, payment failures, and billing updates | Always on |
| Escalation | When a conversation is marked as escalated | Optional |
| System Announcements | Product updates, model changes, and maintenance notices | Always on |
| Agent Alerts | When an agent's status changes | Optional |
| Critical Alerts | Agents paused and security alerts | Always on |
Recommended settings
- Keep Billing Events and Usage Alerts on (email). These prevent surprises like running out of conversation credits or a failed payment that pauses your agents.
- Keep Escalation on if you rely on a human stepping in when the agent flags a conversation.
- System Announcements are useful but low-urgency — in-app only is usually enough.
