Glossary

Simple explanations for terms you'll see in The Agent Builder.

A

Agent Your AI chatbot. It talks to customers on your website or WhatsApp, answers questions, and captures customer information. You can have multiple agents for different purposes.

Avatar The profile picture that represents your agent in the chat. Usually your company logo or a friendly image.

C

Channel A place where your agent can talk to customers. Current channels include your website (chat widget), WhatsApp, Instagram DMs, and Facebook Messenger. One agent can work on multiple channels.

Chat Widget The chat bubble and conversation window that appears on your website. Customers click it to start talking with your agent.

Conversation Credits The units you spend when your agent has conversations with customers. You get a certain number each month based on your plan. Training your agent does not use conversation credits — it uses your plan's data storage limit instead.

D

Data Source Any information you give your agent to learn from. This includes uploaded documents, FAQs you type in, and text you paste.

Deploy / Go Live Making your agent available to customers. Before deploying, only you can test it. After deploying, customers can chat with it.

E

Embed Code A small piece of code you copy and paste into your website to add the chat widget. You don't need to understand the code - just copy and paste it.

Escalation When your agent can't resolve a customer's issue, it offers to connect them with your team and marks the conversation as escalated. The reason is recorded in the Customers section so you can follow up. Escalation is always on for every agent.

F

FAQ Frequently Asked Questions. A list of common questions and their answers. Adding FAQs is one of the easiest ways to train your agent.

I

Instructions The directions you give your agent about how to behave. For example: "Be friendly and helpful. Always ask for the customer's email. Never discuss competitor products."

Integration A connection between TAB and another app you use. For example, connecting to Shopify lets your agent access your store's products and cart. Current integrations are Shopify, Salla, Calendly, and External API.

L

Lead / Customer A person who has chatted with your agent. TAB saves their conversation and any contact information they shared. In the TAB interface, these are shown in the Customers section.

M

Model The AI "brain" that powers your agent. TAB offers models from OpenAI, Anthropic (Claude), and Mistral, each with different strengths.

P

Playground A testing panel on the right side of the agent detail page where you can chat with your agent before going live. Use it to make sure your agent responds correctly.

Public Name The name customers see when chatting. For example, "Alex from Support" or "TAB Assistant."

R

Restricted Topics Things you tell your agent NOT to discuss. For example, you might restrict discussions about pricing, competitors, or legal issues.

T

Tier The performance category of an AI model. There are three tiers: Flagship (most capable, 7 conversation credits/conversation), Premium (great all-rounder, 3 conversation credits), and Standard (fast and budget-friendly, 1 conversation credit). Your plan decides which tiers you can select — see Agent Specifications.

Tone How your agent communicates - either Friendly (casual, warm) or Formal (professional, businesslike).

Training Teaching your agent using your content. When you upload documents or add FAQs, then click Train, your agent learns that information.

W

Webhook A way for TAB to send data to other apps automatically. For example, sending lead info to your email system when someone chats.

Widget See Chat Widget.

Workspace Your team's shared area in TAB. Everything in a workspace (agents, customers, settings) is shared with all workspace members.
