Connecting to Salla
Connect your Salla store to TAB so your agent can help customers with products, orders, and more — with full Arabic and multi-currency support.
What your agent can do with Salla
Once connected, your agent can:
Help customers find products
- Search and browse your store catalog
- Show detailed product information, variants, and pricing
Handle orders
- Check the status of a customer's order
- Look up orders by customer name, status, or date
- Cancel an order on behalf of a customer
- Take a return, refund, or exchange request and notify you in TAB and by email
Assist with the shopping experience
- Add, update, or remove items from a customer's cart, and place orders
- Suggest products based on what the customer is looking for
What you need
- A Salla store with an active merchant account
- A TAB account with at least one agent
Workspaces created from a Salla store install are limited to 1 agent, regardless of which plan you're on. If you need multiple agents, use a separate TAB workspace that isn't tied to a Salla store.
Connecting your Salla store
Salla is connected at the workspace level — once you connect your store, any agent in your workspace can use it.
There are two ways to connect, and both end the same way: your store linked to your TAB workspace. Pick whichever you're starting from.
Option 1 — From your Salla store (recommended)
- In your Salla dashboard, open the App Store and install TAB – The Agent Builder (or open it if it's already installed).
- A TAB window opens automatically.
- Choose:
- New to TAB? → Sign up to create your account — your store connects as you finish.
- Already have a TAB account? → Log In — your store connects to your existing workspace.
- Done — your store is connected.
Option 2 — From TAB
- In TAB, go to your agent's Integrations page, find the Salla card, and click Connect.
- A window appears with simple steps: install TAB from your Salla store, then Log In with your TAB account when the TAB window opens.
- Once you log in from Salla, your store connects — the TAB page updates automatically.
Tip: When connecting from TAB, choose Log In (not Sign Up) on the Salla side — you already have a TAB account, and logging in is what links the store to it.
Activate it
After connecting, make sure the Salla toggle is set to Connected on the Integrations page so your agent can use it.
Test it
- Open the Playground for your agent
- Try asking:
- "What products do you have?"
- "Is [product name] available?"
- "What is the status of my order?"
- Your agent should respond with real data from your Salla store
Managing your Salla connection
Pausing the connection
You can pause Salla without fully disconnecting. When paused, your agent won't access store data but the authorization stays in place — you can turn it back on at any time.
To pause or resume:
- Go to your agent's Integrations page
- Find the Salla card
- Use the toggle switch to turn the connection on or off
Disconnecting
To fully remove the connection:
- Go to Integrations > Salla
- Turn off the toggle and confirm when prompted
Your agent will stop accessing Salla data but will continue working normally with its other content. You can reconnect at any time by clicking Connect again.
Tips for a better Salla agent
Add your store policies
Your agent can look up live product and order data from Salla, but it won't automatically know your policies. Make sure to train it with:
- Your cancellation and order modification policy
- Shipping timelines and delivery areas
- Common customer questions
- Any brand-specific information
Give your agent clear instructions
Add Salla-specific guidance in your agent's instructions. For example:
Help customers find products, check order status, and answer questions about our store.
When recommending products, ask about their needs first.
For order cancellations, check the order details before confirming.
Arabic and multi-currency support
Salla natively supports Arabic and multiple currencies. Set your agent's language to match your store's primary language for the best customer experience.
Troubleshooting
My store didn't connect after installing the app
Make sure you completed the Sign up or Log In step in the TAB window that opens after installing — installing alone doesn't connect the store; you also need to choose an account.
I connected from TAB but the page didn't update
- In the Salla window, make sure you chose Log In (not Sign Up) and used the same TAB account you're connecting from.
- The TAB page checks for the connection every few seconds — give it a moment after you log in from Salla.
The agent isn't showing store data
- Check that the Salla toggle is set to Connected on the Integrations page
- Test in the Playground to see if the issue is with a specific question
- Make sure your Salla store has published, active products
